What better day to launch than Valentine’s Day.
On 14 February 2026, the Okavango Marathon Project ran for the first time — a trail run through the Maun Game Reserve. Locals, visitors, first-timers, and seasoned runners all on the same trail on the same morning, in one of the most extraordinary settings you could ask for as a starting point.
It was loud, it was dusty, and it was exactly what we hoped it would be. A proper beginning.
